(nsfw) Have you ever been as in love as Sada Abe?

Asked by 6rant6 (13705points) May 17th, 2012

Sada Abe was so much in love with a man that she… well you’ll have to read it for yourself.

If you haven’t cut off your dead lover’s penis, how far would you go to say, “I love you”?

Yo, I think you gave the ending away in the second paragraph there…

@Aethelflaed Really? Perhaps OP contained undiscovered humor?

Aethelflaed's avatar

@6rant6 No, I think you gave it away.

But either way, I can proudly state, I have never cut off a penis from a human.

Didn’t read the link, but I say that if she didn’t do it while he was alive and using it, she wasn’t committed enough.

If love is erotically suffocating your lover, then no, I’ve never been that deeply in love.

This is the most interesting wikipedia article I’ve ever read.

Maybe it’s just me, but if you truly love a man you have enough affection and respect for him to bury or cremate him intact. I’ve never been in the circumstances of Sada Abe but I adored my father and I had his dentures cremated along with his body because he had had dentures since his early thirties and they were, they seemed to me at least, to be as much a part of him as his true body. I thought it was the right thing to do.

And once, one of my dog’s deer hoof chews somehow ended up in my purse, I’m not sure how, but knowing that there was a deer hoof in my purse was weird enough to me; carrying around a human body party, particularly my husband’s or lover’s penis and testicles, in my purse would be more than I could handle. Though I am one of those woman who has a rather messy and cluttered purse. I’m not even always sure what the hell is in there. Who knows?

Uh, No.

That is great article. I worked with some older Japanese men and they would sometimes refer to a certain woman as an “Abe Sada”.
They also used to say that eating eel was good for “stamina”.
Now I know the back story. Thanks.

“I loved him so much, I wanted him all to myself. But since we were not husband and wife, as long as he lived he could be embraced by other women. I knew that if I killed him no other woman could ever touch him again, so I killed him…”

I’m not sure exactly how far I would go to say “I love you.” I’m pretty sure I would never kill them so no other woman could touch them tough.

@Ela Well, in all fairness, he did ask.

Ela's avatar

@6rant6 That he did. Doofus knew she had a knife too.
What’s worse then cutting it off was trying to use it after…. morbid.

I have never loved anyone so much to murder them and then cut their bollocks off, no. I thought I loved my boyfriend very deeply but I’m not so sure now!!!

@Ela I’m pretty sure not even Maximum Strength Viagra would push enough blood into that member to make it useful for that. It was useful, however, to the police in getting a murder conviction.
