Maybe it’s just me, but if you truly love a man you have enough affection and respect for him to bury or cremate him intact. I’ve never been in the circumstances of Sada Abe but I adored my father and I had his dentures cremated along with his body because he had had dentures since his early thirties and they were, they seemed to me at least, to be as much a part of him as his true body. I thought it was the right thing to do.

And once, one of my dog’s deer hoof chews somehow ended up in my purse, I’m not sure how, but knowing that there was a deer hoof in my purse was weird enough to me; carrying around a human body party, particularly my husband’s or lover’s penis and testicles, in my purse would be more than I could handle.
