Some people like things like sour cream, cheese, Ritz crackers or oyster crackers.
I like chopped pickles and cheese. My S/O likes cheese and eats his with tortias.
So what do you like to put in your bowl of chili?

Pickles? You’re wacked. I want to party with you.
Pickled jalapenos yes and shredded jack. Side of corn chips.
Tiny tube mac, al dente
Fire roasted corn nibblets
small cubes of pepper jack cheese
Corn tortilla chips on the side
Sometimes I’ll sprinkle cheese or green onions on top. Otherwise, I just eat chili as it is. As for sides, either tortillas or a green salad (yes, I know, I’m not adventurous).
Raw onion, grated cheddar, sour cream, crumbled nacho chips, my spoon, my tongue.
Cheese and sour cream. But no beans. I don’t like beans.
I like it over rice, or just in a bowl. Wendy’s makes a decent chili, if you put the hot sauce (gold packet) in it. I like spicy! I like chili with meat and beans but no extra crap.
Plenty of tabasco and spooned onto saltines.
I don’t care for cheese on chili; I do sometimes like to have Saltines with it…
@DominicX Saltines in clam chowder! So much better than Oyster crackers.
Beef, beans, tomatoes, onions, seasonings (garlic, oregano, chili powder, salt&pepper.) Garnished with grated jack cheese, sour cream, fresh cilantro; tortilla chips on the side.
If it’s great chili, add in some grated Jack cheese and let it melt, then diced onions and sour cream. Seventh heaven with hot sauce..
Oooh, every kind of bean known to man, red, black, pinto, kidney.
Stewed tomatoes, all the seasonings, garlic and LOTS of peppers, yellow, red, orange bells and big green chiles and onions and, and, CORNBREAD! OMG! I want Chili now!
There have been a lot of tasty suggestions. I LOVE Sriracha sauce (aka Rooster Sauce) in my chili…in fact I put it on almost everything savory for an extra kick.
Crushed club crackers. I also put ketchup and sour cream in it if it’s too spicy.
But no beans! We Texans know that beans do not belong in chili! :D
I like my chili with beef chunks, grilled onions and corn in it, then topped with shredded Cheddar and oyster crackers.
@linguaphile I’ve never had it with corn, that sounds yummy though!
I usually have chilli with rice and tortilla chips, or on a baked potato with grated cheese on top. You guys are making me hungry!
Some lacally grown naga vipers. Of course after I’ve put those in there I can no longer eat the stuff but its fun watching other people try.
Vegetarian chili only for me, so beans, beans and more beans, plus tomatoes and onions and maybe some Morningstar Farms Crumbles. I like it pretty spicy. I like to eat chili on top of spaghetti with lots of grated cheddar cheese. I like it with cornbread or garlic toast on the side.
Never heard of the idea of chopped pickles on top, but that sounds fantastic! I might try that for dinner tonight.
Just to let you know about something unusual that I tried yesterday, because of what I had on hand. I took a rice cake, schmeared it with peanut butter and then put some spicy kimchi on top. It was delightful. Kind of tasted like a Thai/Korean appetizer thingee.
@Kardamom Let me know how you like the pickles. I love it because it give a little bit of crunch to the chili and the slight pickle taste you can taste through the chili actually blends nicely with it.
@Kardamom I love kimchi! I love to put kimchi instead of sauerkraut on bratwursts-yum!
Your rice cake, peanut butter and kimchi actually sounds pretty good.
I bet kimchi would be tasty mixed with chili, too!
I like it with ground turkey, beans, Follow Your Heart’s vegenaise, and lots of onions and tomatoes
@InkyAnn I put both pickles and jalapenos on the chili last night and it was very yummy! I still have some left, so today I think I’ll try it with the kimchi : )
@Brian1946 Now I never would have thought to put mayo (or fake mayo, which I love) on chili, but now you’ve got me intrigued! I love Vegenaise with French fries.
You guys rock!
@Kardamom YAY! It sounds like pickles would would be disgusting in it, but it really does work! I’m glad you tried it.
