Gosh, I don’t know. I would never see these things were it not for fluther. You people enrich my life in inexplicable ways. I mean, I just feel so cool for seeing these things for the second time.

Russian dead dude is just such a cultural icon. Is he blind? Was he blind? Lawrence Welk on steroids in Azerbaijan, is how I think of him. Nice voice. Nice voice 50 years ago, anyway. I wonder how long he kept on singing? Is there any real story about him, suitable for memorializing him, or is it just this ridiculous making fun of him because he’s freaky? Laugh at me if you want, but I think he deserves better.

@ragingloli Thank you for mentioning Eduard Khil. Until now, I had never heard of him before, so I looked him up. What an interesting life story of a child suffering more than any of us could possibly imagine, only to survive, grow up, and have a positive attitude. For anyone interested, here is one short description of his life.

While I have to agree with those that are implying that the video is sort of creepy, the history of this song is quite interesting. The article also talks about the video becoming an internet meme. Thank you for contributing to my education.
