Has anyone read 'Holes' by Louis Sachar?
I recently found a mention of this book and wondered if anyone has read it.
If so, did you enjoy it, find it strange or just plain loathed it?

Yes, I have read it a few years ago. I don’t remember the book in details, but I remember the movie quite well. I thought it was okay, but it was a school project, which naturally takes some of the enjoyment out of it for me. But it’s a good, classic book and movie, too.
I loved it. It is weird but that’s a thing I really like about it,
I read it as an adult and loved it. I thought it was so great how much Louis Sachar put so many details that all wove into the story. It was very well done.
I haven’t read the book, but I’ve seen the movie a ton of times and I love it. Now that you mention it, I really want to see that movie again, and I’d like to read the book to see if it’s as good.
I thought it was okay, nothing really special.
Read it. Have read better, have read worse.
I never read it but I know several people who did and loved it. And the movie is really great, though I can’t attest to how accurate it is compared to the book.
I haven’t watched the movie and am afraid to ruin a great book by watching the movie.
I love the book—it’s quirky, but very meaningful.
I fell straight into it, bit too deep for me though.
I read it as a kid, liked it a whole lot back then.
