Olympics 2012: What is your favorite event? Who is your favorite to win?

I love the 100 butterfly, it was my event in high school after all. Who wins? Don’t particularly care, I just want a good hard race.

I love swimming and gymnastics – I really don’t care who wins, although it’s a little thrill when the USA takes a gold. It’s just exciting to get caught up in all of it!

I’ve always enjoyed swimming, diving and gymnastics. I’m in the US so that’s who I am rooting for. I don’t know about the particular people on the teams this year.

I believe the gymnastics trials are going on right now? It would be nice to see Shawn Johnson win. This will be her last chance to be on the Olympic team since she’s an old lady at the age of 20. Never mind. I just read she retired at the beginning of this month. :/

I have never followed the Olympics before, but when Matthew Mitcham won his diving medals at the Beijing Olympics, I was completely smitten. It was moving to see him celebrate with his mum and boyfriend. I am delighted to hear he will be representing Australia again this summer :)

Maybe I’ll pay attention this year. Never meant to snub the Olympics, but I didn’t grow up watching it.

My favorite summer sport is women’s gymnastics. I haven’t really kept up with it since the “Magnificent Seven” won the first gold medal for the U.S. in 1996. So I don’t know who is on the team. But I’ll be watching : ) My favorite event is balance beam.

Marathon and triathlon. I would love to see Jarrod Shoemaker win the triathlon and Ryan Hall win the marathon.

Yet another lukewarm response to a sports question, tsk…tsk.
That’s the thing about the olympics, I end up watching sports i’d never normally get into, as long as us brits are competing well, then i’m up for anything.
Looking forward to seeing Usain Bolt kick arse again, always enjoy the boxing, swimming & football.

I know a couple of the athletes going to the Olympics so I will be supporting them but, other than that I will probably only watch the gymnastics and equestrian events.

I love to watch the men’s gymnastics… swoons… Who will win? I don’t care. I just think they’re the pinnacle of physical perfection. swoons again just at the thought of it
