Do you ever know a certain food will make you feel bad, but you eat it anyway?
Are there foods that make you feel sick or even just “off”, be it due to lactose intolerance, heartburn, etc…, yet you still eat them?

Curry makes me shit through the eye of a needle, especially after a few pints.
May as well cut out the middle man & toss it straight down the toilet, but where’s the fun in that eh?
@ucme Awww, your poor abused tummy!
Cherries always give me gas, but I love them. I also regret any greasy food after I eat it. It never tastes as good as I expect and I’m a slug for a few days afterward.
Sausage gives me headaches. I still eat them occasionally.
Sauerkraut, but it is so good on a steamed bratwurst.
Some foods that upset your stomach are worth the discomfort. . . .like lobster!
@ucme I can’t stomach ornery tummies who can’t differentiate between fake and genuine. :P
@Rarebear Onion rings make you feel bad? Is it the onions or the batter?
Loads. I have no good sense, that’s for sure. I’m lactose intolerant, but love cereal with milk. I don’t eat it often, but sometimes I just can’t help myself. I pay for it dearly.
Anything too spicy for me (which isn’t very spicy, honestly) or too greasy or too ‘salad-y’, upsets my stomach, but I love them all! Eat this stuff all the time.
Shhhh….don’t tell but I love those gross Jack in the Box tacos filled with dog food and on rare occasions I will make a box of Stove Top cornbread stuffing and eat damn near the whole pan. lol
@Coloma Oh God, I love dipping the Jack in the Box tacos in their little ranch cups. I won’t tell if you won’t. :D
Peanuts, when eaten by the fistfuls, give me terrible cramps! Doesn’t stop me indulging every few months.
There are a lot of foods that give me farts or that I know will mean I am taking a dump in the next hour. But that isn’t considered “feeling bad”.
But if it hurts my stomach, I’ll stay away from it.
For me it’s usually the amount consumed rather than the food item… like when I know I’m going to make myself sick and I eat the whole bag of chips anyway.
Onions give me horrific, nasty smelling flatulence. And the intestinal rumbling is a bit uncomfortable. However, every once in a while I still cook with onions or eat onion rings.
Icecream makes my stomach upset, but I still eat it occasionally. I just try not to eat too much. I also can’t resist shrimp although it doesn’t quite agree with me.
Lamb. I have no clue why, but twice I have been up all night after eating it writhing in pain as it works its way through my system.
@ucme Vindaloo should be called Voodoo curries when it comes to digesting them.
Sugary and simple carb-y foods always make me feel exhausted after I eat them. Like, birthday cake, cereal, beer, bread, cookies, donuts, etc. etc… all the best things! If I have a decent amount of any of these, I feel all weak and woozy within the next hour.
Almonds. Pretty much anything really hard like nuts and raw veggies, especially carrots. Almonds are the worst of nuts, but they all will bother me if I eat too many. I do love almonds though.
I used to have a lactose intolerance and for years I still ate pizza and some other dairy things. Eventually I discovered Lactaid, which helped significantly. A few years into the problem I pretty much gave up eating dairy except for cheats maybe every few weeks or so. Then the problem went away after about 8 years.
Oh, Whoppers! OMG! One night I was watching a movie and polished off almost a whole carton of them. Dangerous, dangerous!
