What kind of virus or prank would make a computer type automatically?
Yesterday my friend was using this computer while I cooked, he downloaded some stuff, and now I think I have a virus or he is pranking me.
Is anyone familiar with any viruses or pranks that make the computer type things automatically. Three times today, over several hours of computer use, my computer has suddenly started typing nonsense and swear words.
I can’t see any scripts running on my browsers, or anything unusual in the processes.
Any ideas?

Maybe he put on something like this. I would check for any new hardware. It will only take a few seconds and might save days of messing with software.
I have log me in on my laptop. My husband can come on my computer and take over any time he wants.
probably some sort of remote access by which he can take control of your PC from elsewhere
Oops, didn’t look at jp’s link.
Interesting stuff – I am smiling at the possibilities of using the phantom keystroke contraption – does the item only work while plugged into someone’s machine or does it I stall something? From the minimal description on their site it made it sound like it had to be left on the machine’s USB drive but that wouldn’t make sense cause it’d be too obvious.

my computer has sometimes done that but not with the swear words, and not after anyone else has been on it, but just after I had been online somewhere. I never figured it out but it just went away.
If anyone is interested, I figured it out.
My friend coded a basic script, put it on my desktop and start bar, and changed its icon to make it look like my internet browser.
When you click your browser, the script runs. The script opens your browser and sets a timer that will type 1 of 5 random messages each time the timer counts down.
