Do you have a favorite thing that you make with egg noodles?
I also have ground beef on hand.

Make a tuna casserole. Egg noodles, chopped steamed carrots, peas, minced onion.
Cover in bread crumbs and bake. Or, make a mock lasagne with tomato sauce and cheese and the ground beef. OR…lol make the egg noodles and serve a cold pasta salad with the tuna, sweet pickles, diced cheddar cheese and minced onion and mix with a lite mayo.
I realize I am talking tuna here, haha but…my favorites. :-)
Al dente egg noodles with butter and parmesan is easy and delicious.
Egg noodles, cooked ground beef (seasoned), canned mushroom soup, 1 c. sour cream. Crumbs on top and baked until crumbs are brown.
I don’t use ground beef very much. I stir cooked chicken, chopped onions, minced garlic, grated cheese, plain yogurt and peas together in a casserole with cooked noodles and heat in the microwave for a few minutes. Sometimes I include diced celery.
beef stroganoff mmmmm, haven’t had it in a while maybe its time to make some when the weather cools off
Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff but there’s no reason why you couldn’t throw in some browned ground beef too.
Another thing that’s really good is a cross between lasagna and spaghetti pie. Put some marinara sauce in the bottom of a casserole dish, layer some of the noodles, some ricotta cheese, maybe some sauteed mushrooms if you like, your sauteed ground beef, more noodles, more sauce, more ricotta, more noodles, then some grated mozzarella on top. Bake at 425 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Keugel! The fabulous Jewish treat of sweet baked noodle casserole!
Hands down favorite of mine is Beef Stroganoff. I make it with ground beef which I know isn’t very authentic but it’s a lot easier and quicker and I actually like it better that way. I also cheat on my gravy by using Lipton Onion Soup mix and Gravy master. Make sure to turn off the heat before adding the sour cream at the end. I like the really broad egg noodles for this. Sometimes I add mushrooms and sometimes not. I like using basil in it, just a little dried basil not too much.
If for dinner, I would say tuna casserole.
I recently looked at recipes for noodle kugel and that’s on my list of things I want to try to make.
Chicken alfredo. I use store bought Ragu alfredo sauce, and season the chicken with garlic salt. I cook the noodles accordingly and after the chicken is cooked, I mix the sauce, chicken and noodles all together. I sometimes add some cooked onions and bell peppers to the mix if I’m in the mood.
