How long does it take to transfer a cell phone number?

if you go to an at&t; store you can get it done in like 5 minutes. SO just go to the store in the morning and get a contract with a new phone

andrew you dont even have to go to the store, my sister just got hers through iTunes. It lets you sign up for an account online - takes about 5-10 minutes.

Don’t cancel your Verizon if you haven’t done it already! I realize this is a few months after the question but they need your account to be active to transfer your number. It’s very quick at a Best Buy or AT&T store but be away that if your two year contract is not over with Verizon switching your number will count as a cancellation and you will be charged an early termination fee.
