I have seen it it referred to in recent Questions. ( What has happened to fluther?) What exactly happens after you flag something? Thank you in advance.

Does it notify the person who did it and tell them why?
i have had answers removed and i was never notified, but you do get an email about questions that are flagged giving you the opportunity to correct the question
how do you ‘correct a question” without knowing what is wrong?
[Fluther Moderator:] We get notifications of flags, and then have to review the situation and decide if the quip is to be removed or not. Although we receive many flags each day, only a small portion of them will actually be removed. To ensure that everyone gets a fair say and doesn’t feel silenced, we only usually get involved in cases of spam, unnecessary rudeness, or excessive crude behaviour.
[Fluther Moderator:] If your question is removed, you will receive an email with an explanation why, and a link to follow to edit your question and resubmit it to the site. Hope this helps.
Ah, ok. Thank you richardhenry. I have not had this yet. Maybe I am to tame and timid. hehe. Thanks all for your time. That really helped me.
No problem, glad I could help. :)

OH MY GOSH Thank you cheebdragon. I thought I typed your name in to. I actually typed Cheesedragon went back read richardhenry’s next post and never reentered your name. I am sorry.
THANK YOU CHEEBDRAGON. All this time I have been reeading your name as Cheesedragon and admiring your choice. hehe. sorry.
Cheesedragon = 12 letters,
Cheebdragon = 11 letters.
Just thought I’d throw that out there in plain sight.
How about cheebwiner? Sorry the world is not revolving around you (yet). ha ha, kidding. usually enjoy your comments.
I had one question and a few answers of mine removed. For the question, I did get an email telling me it didn’t live up to standards and I could rephrase and repost it – but I didn’t.
The answers that were removed, there was no notification.
I think the iPhone version of the Fluther site should have the “Flag” option available. Would have used it a few times already.
NOharmNOfoul,
The moderators would love to recieve suggestions like that in Here
Wizard. Great idea. Will do, thanks.
@wizard – hehe I think it’s my predisposition to see cheese where ever I can. With me you can’t get 2 letters away from “cheese” and not have me see it that way. Cheese is my “Science Fiction” to put it another way.
