“Aging children, I am one…”
but @janbb have you the life regrets this song sings of?
Oh god, Harry was a Cornell dude. RIP.
@Adirondackwannabe “far above Cayuga’ waters, there’s an awful smell . . .”
you know that one, dontcha?
no serious aspersions intended, my sister went there [and taught me the ditty—not quite as interesting as Dartmouth’s though]
“but you can drive on ten thousand miles and still stay where you are…”
Yes, I feel exactly like that. A lot.
for me it’s the occasional melancholic pondering of my life’s passed-up opportunities.
I might have felt that way a year ago but since I had a life “do-over” imposed on me eight months ago, I feel like I have chances again. Still probably won’t write a great American novel, but doors and windows are opening…..
@janbb what is a life “do-over” and where can I buy one?
@anartist Long-time partner walking out the door; are you sure that’s what you want?
@janbb see what you mean, for every door that opens, another one closes.
;;;yeah, but it’s the time in the hallway!
