Is this a fair price for vocal classes?
I will pay 60 dollars an hour, 20 private vocal classes total. Is this expensive or normal?

Those terms are relative. Where are you? What experience has the vocal coach has? What references did she give?
If you were in Manhattan, for example, that would sound on the low end.
A guy in my area is a grad. of the Oberlin School of Music with two years post-grad work at Juilliard and The American Opera Center. He teaches Bel Canto at $90/hour.
My best friend charges about that ($60) in Boston. She is one of the less expensive teachers in the area and I think anyone who hires her is getting a hell of a bargain. She is wonderfully talented, both as a singer and a teacher.
Pay at the end of EACH vocal class, and it sounds reasonable. What are the teacher’s qualifications? Is it at a music school?
@Tropical_Willie He told us from the beginning that money isn’t important, and that he wants to make it 20 classes total and he will give a reasonable price. Well, I feel like crap because I was expecting much less as a total. He says now to my dad, 100 dollars per class. I have 2 classes left and my dad now payed it all. But I feel bad, betrayed and angry.
It is not at a music school, he is just a teacher and a choir director. He is good at what he does, but really all we’ve been doing is just vocal warm-ups & exercices. Although I don’t know what else you can do at vocal classes…
It’s very reasonable. When I was taking vocal lessons, they were $80 an hour. Now that I give music lessons, I charge $70.
it all depends on the vocal coach and their area of expertise but the price you mention is lower than the general costs which are 65 and up no matter what area you go to for the most part.
I pay £33 an hour for singing lessons.
