What Pokemon cards should I get my son?

You can start by going to the site for South Park and watching the really excellent treatment of the whole issue that they did. It might help to have a bit of a realistic perspective on this whole thing before your descent into this bottomless well And it will give you a good laugh.

Head on over to Target or your local comic book store. There are, “Starter Decks” which come with some rare cards in it and is ready for battle. If they are just collecting, go on eBay, and get him Charizard 1st Edition, Blastoise 1st Edition, pretty much anything cool would be stamped 1st edition. We wary though, kids jip each other off in trades with Pokemon cards.

My twelve year-old who went through a year long Pokemon phase suggests you pick up a Platinum Tin, Black & White Tin, or if you want to spend less money an Arceus pack. He also says that the shinier the card the more powerful.

I’d also suggest going to eBay. You can buy a huge lot or a premade deck for him and he can go through it himself to find his favorite. I always wanted a Ninetails, and Pikachu is cool because he is basically the brand icon Pokemon, although I don’t think any of these are very strong, just they were featured in the show which gives them some street cred.

Why am I answering this
You should get him one of the legendary Pokemon, like MewTwo or maybe Groudon and Kyogre…? I haven’t played or seen Pokemon in forever so I might need to go check for some better ones

Maybe you should get him an espeon, eevee, or umbreon.
