Shannon Eastin will be officiating the Chargers vs Packers game, do you support a woman officiating in the NFL?
There seems to be a lot of negative connotation against her officiating a (preseason) game via FaceBook. Why though? In my opinion to think a woman can’t officiate the game is barbaric. What is your view?

Hmm, isn’t the only thing making the game “historic” the fact that there will be a female official on the field?
So you pretty much have to have a woman officiating to make it “an historic game”, right?
Otherwise, I see no reason to not have female officials. They will be in bikinis and patent leather high-heel boots, won’t they?
I guess the war on women isn’t a figment of the liberal and feminazi mind.
This is pretty low on my list of things to give a shit about.
As long as she knows what she’s talking about.
I don’t understand what there is to be against here.
The controversy is because there is a labor dispute, not because she is a woman. She is a replacement official. In the eyes of the locked-out refs, she’s a scab.
As a woman and a true NFL fan, I say, play ball! Let’s go Big Blue!!
The first is always a target. I hope they’ve chosen well and I hope she does well.
I really like that the NFL has taken the negative of the labor dispute and used it to “break through”. It puts pressure on the regulars to do the same.
Give her the chance, it is preseason so if she screws up, cut her no big deal. There are a lot of rookie male officials that don’t make it out of the preseason.
If she does good put her on the regular payroll.
Anything you can do, I can do better or at least as well. Why not football?
Ever since women broke the locker room door to make reports, the men-only game was lost
@Sunny2 very much a fan of this, very much not a fan of the locker room ruling, would have rather they just kicked everyone out
All she has to do is watch the game and remember the rules. What does gender have to do with that?
