If cars could think and dream, would they want to be a weenie hybrid, or a Mustang Cobra GT500?

I bet I know. That’s why we should all be driving hot cars.

I want the Shelby 750 HP version. I don’t mind a little whiplash.
Neither, it wants to be a Bugati Veyron. It could easily outrun the cops, so screw the speed limit.
Probably all cars would want to be some other model. Better performance, slicker bodies, some would go all out and want to have doors that slide up instead of open sideways…and all those big rich cars? They would be upset of their curse, how they can’t ever be driven in Winter, and how all their owners sniff lines on their hoods, and only respect them until the next schmoe who flows comes along.
In all reality though, most every day cars would dream of higher stature and luxury, however, they would probably just be happy if their owners took decent care of them, and they’d probably be as grouchy as people are, when the cars need to be started 20 minutes in advance during the Winter, at four thirty in the morning.
Cars are a lot like people, as they need to feed, and be regularly maintained. If cars had human brains or whatever, they would most likely worry about worn out parts, rush hour and accidents.
The only one who is happy being what he is, would be the Packard Hearse. Thirty seven years later, you fish him out of the river, and his radio is still playing…
There would be some cars with a strong social and environmental conscience that would want to be a hybrid. That would want to be fuel efficient and be seen to be groundbreaking in terms of design, fuel consumption and general efficiency. I suspect Herbie would be that sort of car.
Then there would be the hoons.
If I were a car, I would want to be somewhere in the middle. Smooth, sleek, sporty looks that gets up and flies but not burning up fossil fuels like we have an infinite supply.
They would want to be flux capacitor equipped time traveling De Loreans. Right Doc? Well, either that or Austin Power’s Jaguar. Yeahhh, baby!
^^ HELL YEAH. Eather that or a TARDIS.
I think the Pixar folks did a great job of coming up with characters for the “Cars” movies and choosing real or make-believe models for them to be. Most would probably have something to say about what was worthwhile or good about being the sort of car or truck (or other vehicle) that they were. Even the tiny forklift who worked in the tire shop appeared to really enjoy doing the things “he” could do that the others couldn’t.
It depends whether the cars are male or female.
I would want to be a Tesla, 200 MPH and barely a sound. Now that’s cool!
