Poll: Out of the following treats, what one would you rather eat?

Asked by poisonedantidote (21680points) August 10th, 2012

Hi, just asking a little question for some market research. I would appreciate as many answers as possible.

Out of the following options, what treat would you choose to consume?

- A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce.

- A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Burbon.

- An Ice Pop Made With Real Tropical Fruit Juices.

- A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings.

- A Frozen Yogurt Topped With Almonds and Fruit.

BQ: How would you rank them from 5th to 1st?

Thanks!

I’d take the tropical fruit pop, or failing that, the frozen yogurt.
The rest sound horrible to me, and I have low blood sugar right now, lmao. I’m not used to eating excessive sweets like that.

Can I say they all suck to me. I don’t want sugar on sugar. I like more subtlety.

1. An Ice Pop Made With Real Tropical Fruit Juices.
2. A Frozen Yogurt Topped With Almonds and Fruit.
3. A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce.
4. A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings.
5. A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Burbon.

As noted by others, most of this holds no appeal to me—the last two are almost “punishing.” I’d prefer a glass for champagne above all of this, for the record ;-)

Simple answer:

2— A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce.

1— A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Burbon.

3— An Ice Pop Made With Real Tropical Fruit Juices.

5— A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings.

4— A Frozen Yogurt Topped With Almonds and Fruit.

Less-simple answer:

Where am I getting this and how much am I paying? Those make a big difference. It also drives how many questions I’d ask and the kind of info I’d want as description.
Is the ice cream homemade? What kind of cookies and what brand of bourbon? If the ice pops are made from freshly juiced fruit or concentrated juice makes a big difference in their taste. Plus do they have pieces of fruit in them? What type of chocolate is the banana dipped in? Are the coconut shavings fresh, dried, toasted? What kind of fruit is on the yogurt? Is the yogurt homemade?

Without any of that, I’d probably skip them if they cost more than about $3 or, while the Milkshake intrigues me, would likely pick the Vanilla Ice Cream as that’s tougher than the others to screw up in my mind. Also, I’m a sucker for quality homemade ice cream, though I’d probably skip the sauce, and order a nice scotch to finish with it.

Ice cream with caramel sauce. And add some chocolate sauce too, please. Hold the cherry though. I’m on a diet and they soak those cherry’s in sugar. ;)

3. A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce. (Only if it is in a cup)
4. A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings. (Nuts rather than coconut)
5. A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Burbon. (Not interested)

I think “which would you rather?” and “which would you choose?” are two different questions. The first is about abstract preferences, whereas the second involves a concrete decision.

The answer to which I would rather is:

1. A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce
2. A Frozen Yogurt Topped With Almonds and Fruit
3. An Ice Pop Made With Real Tropical Fruit Juices
4. A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings
5. A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Bourbon

The answer to which I would choose is:

1. A Frozen Yogurt Topped With Almonds and Fruit
2. An Ice Pop Made With Real Tropical Fruit Juices
3. A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce
4. A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings
5. A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Bourbon

I would never order the milkshake because I do not drink alcohol. I’d be unlikely to order the banana because I am not terribly fond of coconut shavings. All of the others sound pretty good, though, and my decision would rest on whether or not I thought it was acceptable to treat myself that day and perhaps when I was making the purchase. I tend to eat very lightly during the day, so I would almost certainly order the ice pop if making the purchase in the afternoon. Were I to be ordering a dessert some time after dinner, however, I would purchase either the yogurt or the ice cream.

1)A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings
2)An Ice Pop Made With Real Tropical Fruit Juices.
3)A Frozen Yogurt Topped With Almonds and Fruit (Not frozen.)
4)A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce.
5)A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Burbon. (No Burbon)

And, all of these depend on where I was ordering, and the price. I would only order the ice pop if it were inexpensive and it was an on the go sort of thing. This list is very eclectic, and if I saw them all on the same menu, I would think whoever made the list just wrote down a list of random things and went on their way. For instance, a milkshake with Bourbon?? That is such an odd mix. It is like putting caviar on Ritz crackers.

- A Vanilla Ice Cream Covered in Caramel Sauce. 2 (This is tasty, but quite common place, I wouldn’t order it at a restaurant, but I eat it at home every now and then)

- A Chocolate Milkshake With Ground Up Cookies and Burbon. 5 (I don’t like the idea of having booze in my dessert)

- An Ice Pop Made With Real Tropical Fruit Juices. 1 (I already eat these quite frequently, especially during summer)

- A Frozen Banana Dipped in Chocolate and Covered in Coconut Shavings.3 (I love the addition of the coconut shavings, sounds quite decadent)

- A Frozen Yogurt Topped With Almonds and Fruit.4 (I love yogurt, but I don’t like to put other stuff into it)

Depends. If I wanted freshness, the ice pop. Otherwise the chocolate milk shake.

I would never, under any circumstances, want something with bananas or peanuts. That would sour my stomach completely and if that was the only thing the establishment offered, I would never go back again.

Banana dipped in chocolate w/coconut shavings
vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce
Frozen yogurt w/almonds and fruit. (it would probably be a banana fruit)
ice pop (love really cold stuff)
cholate milkshake Last because I’m not to crazy about the ground up cookies in it. Way too sweet for me, and I’m not sure how the burbon would effect it. But I would give it a try.

Berserker's avatar

Not crazy about stuff that’s too sugary, but the ice pop made of actual fruit could probably be pretty good. I love vegetable juice that tastes like fresh grave dirt, so I think I can hack legitimate fruit juice.

Assuming all the dairy products are replaced with dairy-free alternatives:

1 – Frozen Yogurt
2 – Ice pop
3 – Frozen Banana
4 – Chocolate milkshake
5 – Vanilla ice cream (I wouldn’t even eat that at all even if it was dairy-free)

Dutchess_III's avatar

Why wouldn’t you eat the vanilla ice cream @downtide?

downtide's avatar

I don’t like vanilla.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oooo! I don’t care for vanilla milk shakes either, but you have to have vanilla in a lot of desserts you bake or it’s FAIL!

downtide's avatar

That’s one of several reasons why I don’t eat a lot of desserts…

Dutchess_III's avatar

That bad, hey!? I don’t eat desserts….they’re a total waste of calories. Once in a great while I’ll take a piece of cake or something, but I don’t bake any more.
