What's the difference btw a male and female scrub top?

Asked by heyu1021 (262points) June 2nd, 2008

I have to wear scrubs at my new job and they gave a couple of scrub tops but i can’t tell if they’re men’s, women’s, or unisex. I don’t want to look like an idiot tomorrow! Help.

I believe most scrubs are unisex. Just look for the larger sized ones, so they aren’t fitted on you. Stay away from any floral printed ones and you should be fine.

Good luck on your first day!

I’ve never seen anything but Unisex (except for print patterns, in some instances).

Sound answers here. From taking a look at some online shops, they only seem to be unisex except for some printed versions. Good luck with your first day!

armpit space is closer in. Ties in the back.

They tend to come in small, medium, large and extra large. Typically, small tops and bottoms have a yellow liner and yellow string to tie the pants. Medium has beige trim. Large has white trim. (Sorry, I can’t remember extra large since I wear medium and my wife wears small). If you want to look like an orthopedic surgeon, pick a size that is two sizes too small so that your guns show. Personally, I am 5’9, and I wear medium bottoms and large tops because I prefer the extra arm and shoulder room. If you pick a smaller top, it will be too confining.
