Out of curiosity though, what exactly is a ghost? By what process are they created? How does someone confirm the existence of a ghost?
I’ve done ghost-writing, and I’ve won sailboat races by ghosting when no one else could move, but otherwise I don’t believe.
As much as I would like to, the answer is “no”.
Wait, @SomeGhost might be here soon. : )
No, they’re frightful liars, the sneaky bastards.
Not for reals, but I love movies and stories about ghosts, and I work myself into quite a bundle of nerves whenever I watch those “reality” shows about ghost hunters. I used to love to watch Night Gallery and Circle of Fear when I was a kid. It was fun, but I’ve never actually believed in ghosts.
CIA Mossad spooks. Close enough
I’m a total skeptic. I work in a big office building that’s old and noisy, and supposedly haunted. I’m sitting at my desk, which faces the door and something looks like it stuck it’s head and torso in the door. I freaked and ran to the door, there’s nothing there. I know I saw something, I just don’t know what it was. I drew a picture for a few people and they have no idea either. It was roughly human shaped with no face. I still don’t have a clue what it was.
Yes I do but I have no story. I have never actually seen a ghost as far as I am aware.
Yes. My parents bought a small cape dutch cottage in the Eastern Cape. It was horrifically haunted. Eventually the local Priest was called upon to do something no idea what, in ordered to clean whatever was there away.
I have never felt such an oppressive evil presence in my life. It also was perceived by none ghost believers when they visited. I get shivers even recalling it. Many people witnessed various things. Plus outsiders. So I would say yes I do.
@Shippy: Eastern Cape What? May, Cod, Horn, Good Hope?
I don’t have a story to tell as I have never to my knowledge seen a ghost but I expect that people who die may linger on for a bit in the places they have known but they must be ignored. The living and the dead don’t belong together and no good can come from any communication however harmless it might appear.
Ah. Maybe there are ghosts there.
