The site is pretty good. It doesn’t crash nearly as often as it used to. It gets better as you get more used to it. This is actually a pretty good first question. I don’t think I’ve seen this one before.

On the other hand, a lot of the people here, and I would have to include myself, can be pretty cranky and obstreperous from time to time. Don’t rattle our cages too hard, and you should be able to walk out alive someday. We can always hope.

Are you able to ignore people that irritate you? If your answer is “yes”, then it’s a fantastic site.

It depends on what you’re looking for. It depends on what you’re looking for, which you didn’t describe. Fluther is one of the better sites for deep philosophical discussions and decent moderation. However if you prefer a site which allows users to cowardly attack others without the fear of being modded or booted out than this site isn’t for you.

This site’s userbase is mostly liberal, sceptical and atheistic and I’m probably more conservative than the majority are on here, and I’m a theist. Personally I wasn’t looking for a site where everyone agrees with my views, but a place where I could debate issues without the fear of being trolled or harrassed. Fluther really is its own thing, and I know many diehard liberals who wouldn’t like it here. If you ignore the few aholes on here and can spell decently you should like it here.
