If you had the opportunity to sway a voter by making one point to try to convince them to vote for Romney or Obama, what would it be?

That it is not in their best interest to vote the way they plan to vote.
Romney will say anything to become president. He has reinvented himself several times, from “running as a conservative” to “being more liberal than Ted Kennedy”. You cannot trust him, and he won’t try to gain your trust by showing the most important bit of information about him: his past tax returns.
He is Mr. Etch-O-Sketch.
Do you want another government like that run by Mr. Bush, the younger?
The war on women’s rights.
I woke up listening to NPR this morning on the clock-radio. They were in the middle of a story on the Connecticut race for a new Senator. The race is between a popular young Democratic Representative (one-term or two, I’m not sure), Chris Murphy vs. Linda McMahon, the Republican former owner of WWE (or some “wrestling” organization or another). This in a heavily Democratic state in one of the most Democratic parts of the country.
McMahon has a slight lead in the polls. Of course, it’s early in both candidates’ campaigns and things will change as time goes on. The news story went on to mention that “Murphy probably expects to get help by coasting on Obama’s coattails” in this state, because it’s such a near-certain state for the incumbent President. That’s when they continued with the story to mention that “Obama’s coattails aren’t very long in Connecticut”; he’s only got a slim lead over Romney.
If Obama has to struggle (at all, the least little bit) to carry Connecticut, he’s not only going to lose the election, but he’ll lose big, in a landslide.
So what I’d say to a prospective voter (on either side) is, “Why bother? Stock up on some liquor because the bars will be closed, and just stay home and drink.”
We lose, no matter who wins.
e-hm…..
BIRTH CERTIFICATE!............
But then again, Romney is such a puppet also.
I would say, I pity you all in the US because I’m English. But we’re all slaves to the global banking system aswell.
I’m with @zenvelo. It isn’t in your best interest to vote for Romney, unless you are a white male millionaire.
A vote for Mitt the Twitt makes you a dumb shit!
His wife will not be president.
Paul Ryan will not be president.
Ann Romney was able to afford experimental medical treatments for her Multiple Sclerosis, but her husband is planning to take away the affordable health care you need to treat your medical condition.
Ann Romney was able to send her horse to the Olympics and calls her husband an average joe. Do you have someone you want to send to the Olympics? Why not? You’re an average joe.
Mitt Romney has enough money to need and want Swiss bank accounts and Cayman Islands bank accounts, what average man do you know that has those needs and wants?
Did you know that the Cayman Island banks are favored by people who are avoiding paying taxes? What kind of person avoids paying their taxes?
To answer your last question, @DaphneT, a smart person avoids paying more taxes than he needs to. Criminals “evade” tax; smart people “avoid” tax, by playing with the rules that are in place. This isn’t news.
Now, if Romney had written the rules, then you’d have a valid complaint against his tax avoidance. As far as I know the rules have been made by others for all of us.
@CWOTUS there was no request to provide factual points. Granted there was no request for multiple options either.
If you do not vote for (insert your candidate here) your nuts will rot off.
