Are all the reality shows on TV real or are they scripted.

II was wondering about one in particular; Hardcore Pawn. Are the customers that get irate with the owners part of the show?

I’m sure they are….I was just discussing this with my mom the other night. She thinks it’s all real on ‘that show’, I’m more skeptical since the fights don’t get very serious. Plus some of those hardcore gangbangers in there would be whipping out some guns if reality.
A little bit of both. You can’t rely on every customer’s case to be interesting, so you have what’s known as “filler” which is scripted events to go along with the real ones to make it interesting.
They probably reject more interactions than they accept for the final program. They almost have to be somewhat contrived when there are cameras conveniently already set up in places to keep the continuity. They won’t do that on a gamble the “actors” will actually move in front of them without direction. It’s fake entertainment and they are cheap to produce and above all they sell. They’re stupid.
Ok, this is ‘friend of a friend’, but someone DH knows, knows a guy that was involved in a Pawn Stars episode; they said it is all planned out in advance. I can’t imagine that any other show would really do it differently.
