You know it. Fry onions and other desired vegetables in olive oil. Add plain pasta sauce or can of crushed tomatoes. (Yes, yes, I have blanched, skinned, cut, seeded, and mashed fresh tomatoes, but I don’t have the time for that unless I’m trying to lay someone.) Season to taste with garlic, black pepper, paprika, parmesan, thyme, marjoram, basil, oregano, balsamic vinegar, a little mushroom or vegetable broth… Somebody else better do the dishes!
