It’s called freestyle, and it depends on the dog and the amount of effort that you put into training.

The second video is of a woman and her dog who regularly enter competitions for dancing with your dogs. I saw a news segment or part of a documentary about the sport and those people practice with their dogs on a daily basis year round so it’s more than a matter of how long it takes to initially train the dog for this. Evidently it requires daily upkeep and practice.

If you want to see another great dog act (not specifically only dancing) check out the entrants in this year’s AGT, Olate Dogs. It’s clear how much this family loves and is devoted to their dogs. And the dogs are having a ball and thoroughly enjoying themselves.

(I have no idea how you train a dog to do backflips but these guys did) really impressive. And most of them are rescued shelter dogs. Very inspiring.

Olate Dogs. Check them out.

I hope they win.

I love Pugsy and his 16-year old owner. They are charming, and neither one was texting on an iPhone the entire time, which is refreshing.

I try it with my dog, she knows most of the tricks, I am just not coordinated to put it all together, I can’t dance! But clicker training is excellent for teaching tricks like this and most dogs really enjoy it!

Rally O is another fun thing to do with your dog. Not as difficult or demanding as the free style dancing but lots of fun (and there are signs to tell you what to do!)

Great news. The votes are in and Olate Dogs made it into the final of AGT.

The show is on live this Wed. Nt. with the results broadcast the following night.

They are really a great act and have a good shot at winning.

^^^Olate Dogs

If you need cheering up, watch the first half of this video (the last half is filled with boring gas-bags, aka humans.)

Olate Dogs won AT. YIPPEE. They really deserve it.

In addition to the money, they’ll ne getting a commitment for an ongoing. Vegas act.
