Is it possible that even Fox News is getting fed up with Romney's soft shoe vagueness.

Asked by Dutchess_III (47126points) September 14th, 2012

What, exactly, is he going to cut?

Response, “He will be a great leader and leadership is what we are missing today.”

It would be nice to know what he thinks we should do, but that would give Obama too much ammunition. So I guess he’s going to work it out with Congress. Which might work, as long as he had a Republican Congress.

I guess we have to look for those studies about loopholes and see which ones would hit upper income people more. Not that that will save nearly enough money. Besides which, it’s a tax increase if you cut deductions. Inevitably, they will have to go after the middle class—the home mortgage deduction and the child care tax credit and maybe even health care and state and local tax deductions.

But this guy says Romney wants to make the tax fairer and flatter. Which means he wants to raise rates for poorer people and reduce it for richer people. How that makes things fairer, I don’t know.

Since Romney thinks the middle class is those earning $200,000—$250,000 (Citation here), I am sure we will hear him talking about reducing taxes on the middle and upper classes . . .

Romney is proposing tax cuts that add up to a loss of $4 trillion in revenue over the next 10 years and new defense spending that adds up to $2 trillion over the same time. There are not enough loopholes to make that balance if you cut them all. He also seems to want wars in numerous Middle Eastern countries and even claims Russia is our number one geopolitical foe. Who knows how much his neocon advisers (the same ones that crafted the brilliant Bush strategy to forget Afghanistan, let bin Laden escape, and instead invade Iraq) will add to our deficit in new foreign preemptive invasions?

The bottom line. Like all Republican Presidents since Ronald Reagan (who tripled the national debt) he will massively add to the debt to coddle millionaires, billionaires and huge multinational corporations. Small businesses will once again get the shaft.

Chen says that he wants to give a break for high income tax payers. Meaning the rich.
I’m glad they fox is getting annoyed at the vagueness of Romneys plan.
