Something similar to Duet Browser for the iPad but for a Windows computer.

Hmm, not a software recommendation but try this and see if it does what you want. Click and drag your browser window to the far left of your screen. You should see a transparent rectangle form on the left half of your screen. Release and the browser will fit to the rectangle. Open another window in your browser and do them same over on the righthand side of the screen. You should then have side by side browsing.
I just resized my Chrome window to half the size of the screen. Then I clicked on the Chrome icon, opened up another Chrome window, and placed it to the side of the first window. They are both open and I can alternate browsing in each one.
Ditto with Safari on a Mac.
Open two browsers, right click taskbar in windows select show windows side by side
I find that the “New window” command in most browsers does that just fine. It’s not uncommon for me to have at least three open browser windows on my oversized screen, and I’ve been doing that for over a decade.
Way easy if you have a dual screen setup, a window on each screen.
If not, Chrome works nicely for this, you can have individual Chrome windows open, and they snap to fit when you resize them.
@gambitking Running a 32” flatscreen at 1920×1080 also works; plenty of space for side-by-side windows there.
