I’m going to be getting a Ukulele soon, but I don’t know many ukulele songs. I would like to have a few to listen to before it gets here.
Thanks! :)

Here’s the most famous song in the history of the world with a uke accompaniment.
You can play most folk songs on the uke. The chords are straightforward.
Here’s another one.
Here’s a tutorial on the chords C. F. and G
Look up Ukulele Underground:. Aldrine Guerrero gives on-line classes on Wednesday. Also the classes are archived for later.
He covers music theory and playing techniques.
@marinelife Thank you for mentioning this. This is a song I would play at my own funeral.
“Tiny Bubbles” a la Don Ho.
“Blue Hawaii”
etc.

If you’re into Polynesians rhythms this song is probably not for you. If you’re into European Gypsy ukulele style this song might work for you.
Also I recommend Ryan Gosling
Ok one more Beirut song Postcards From Italy
Listen to this gormless bugger, rare footage captured from around 1542 I believe.
LOL @ucme. The first song I thought of when I saw “ukelele” was George and When I’m Cleaning Windows. Also… Tiny Tim. Once saw a very disturbing interview with him where he admitted to using paper underwear. It was just so wrong.
@Bellatrix His “windows” song was on a playstation eye-toy game a few years back, wishy-washy it was called. You had to wipe an increasing amount of suds off a window before the timer ran out, my kids loved that daft little song.
Paper underwear!?! No currys for you George me lad!
Do a google search for “Ukulele Hunt” – it’s a really good website. Many many songs can be played using the ukulele, you’ve just got to be brave and give them a try. (Basically, just about any song you would consider okay played on just a guitar and sung to can also be done on a uke.) :-) Enjoy, it’s great fun! Get really comfortable with the G chord and moving to and from it, and you’ll find it a doddle.
@harple that sounds way cool! I’ll check it out!
@Everyone else, thanks! I haven’t listened to any of the songs yet, but I will as soon as I can. :)
George Harrison loved the ukulele. Here is a Paul McCartney with a ukulele tribute to him. Great photos too.
I got my Ukulele two days ago, and I’m proud to say that I can play Mr. Brightside by the killers, already :)
