Pussy Riot. I can’t listen to their screeching and seriously call it music, but to each his own.
I wouldn’t have heard of them had Putin not decided they were worthy of his attention and a gaol cell. (It’s an antiquated spelling version – forgive me.)
What other bands/singers/artists in the past were jettisoned into fame based on nothing more than pissing someone off/timing/luck/politics.
More importantly – can you name any that made good on this fame – and lasted?
