Costumes: Greek Goddess. How to ideas from scratch?

I am making my greek goddess outfit from scratch for Halloween. It is typically what you would see but I am curious to what you all would add to it to make it stand out from the crowd. Accessories? Material? Hair? Make-up? How to make the sandles?
