Do you have different assumptions based upon the gender of the person asking about NSFW questions?

Asked by Imadethisupwithnoforethought (14682points) October 15th, 2012

Do you assume things when a man asks a NSFW questions that you do not assume about a female asker?

If the asker identifies as a member of the GLBT community, do you have a different set of assumptions?

Will you blow off a question when asked from a person of one gender that you would answer carefully if the person was of the other gender?

I answer the same way, no matter who is asking.

I hate to admit it, but yes. I also wonder about age too. I realize I have a set of ideas about certain persons. It helps me answer more clearly. I feel. I realize as I type this how biased I am therefore.

Nope. I don’t believe in NSFW questions. I think the NSFW appellation is meaningless. I don’t make any assumptions about the asker, other than those I make based on what I already know about the person.

No. It never even occured to me.

No, not at all. Most of the time the SN is rarely gender specific.

I get more careful when answering questions from teenagers than I do people over forty. But it has to be pretty evident what the age and experience level are, otherwise I treat them the same.

I don’t know if I have a conscious idea but I do wonder about who and why they are asking such things. The gender doesn’t so much matter. I have looked at questions from both. If it is a question of personal taste or a fact that should be known, I might question why it was asked and deal with it accordingly. Also if that is the main meat-and-potatoes questions a person ask, I might get to wondering.
