I am doing (for once) absolutely nothing, with no plans on muddying those waters. How about you all?

Obviously, I’m sitting here, but I do have a concert to sing tonight. (includes Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms) My list for today includes mostly maintenance stuff.
It’s 8:30 pm, I’m sitting in a chair, watching Mad Men and staring at a Dutch language test exam from 2009 that I’d like to work my way through before Monday…
I’m all cozy in bed with the computer and a Friday the 13th marathon on the television. We spent the morning in the park watching our daughter play flag football and the early evening will be spent outside playing more football and sitting in front of a bonfire. I’m enjoying the bed for now.
Afternoon is over, here. The only thing I did was wash a sinkful of dishes and go out to buy a dog-proof bin for the kitchen.
A nature hike with the girls, covered 9 miles this morning.
Wow, you are all much more productive than I am today!
I’m cleaning up the house to get ready for a birthday party for my son.
Flu-ther-ing…. a bit-o baking… a bit-o packing…. a bit-o honey : )
11:48 in California and I am still kicking around in my sweats waiting for it to warm up a little more outside. Just had breakfast and I am waiting to hear back from my gardener/handyman because I need to do some winterizing before the first, fairly significant storm of the season rolls in tomorrow night through Tues.
I need the goose barn cleaned, rain gutters cleaned, my hot tub cleaned, deck furniture moved into the garage, and a major blow job. lol
I am heading out soon to pick up a couple of bales of shavings at the feed store and if I don’t get some help I might just have to blow myself. ;-p
Just got back from a book fair. Preparing for a night sail north, the first under new rigging. I was out a few nights ago in another boat. No moon. The bioluminescence was incredible. It’s like waves of ice blue stars crashing against my hull, fireflies dancing in the whitecaps. Too bad my camera can’t capture it. Can’t wait to get out there.
Just came in from lounging in the sun. About to shower and get ready for dinner and a concert tonight.
I may stay up late or get up early to try to catch the Orionid Meteor Shower, since it’s actually going to be a clear moonless night for a change.
What a wide range of lifestyles and activities! You all are very interesting!
Lounging in my pajamas, nursing a hangover, wasting time on the internet, drinking coffee, loving on my cats, and planning to do the same thing for the rest of the day.
@say_what Welcome to Fluther. Great Question.
It was my first day off after working 7 days straight so I was chilling out. I saw Frankenweenie then watched the crescent moon through binoculars.
About to prune an out-of-control white rugosa rose and its equally out-of-control autumn clematis that is intertwined with it.
Double Blanc de Coubert
Sweet autumn clematis
Bring up both pictures and cross your eyes to get the full effect.
@gailcalled
Us “older” gals should help each other out. Your good thumbs for my good knees. haha
Welcome to Fluther, @say_what.
I just woke up from an hour long nap, had a huge late lunch because I haven’t been eating much recently, I’m watching an episode of the Avengers while I start my laundry, and then I’m going to read a book on French art history all afternoon. Hoping to finish it with before too late so I can go out for a drink and some socializing, but I suppose I’ll just stay home and play some Civilizations if I finish too late.
Puttering around the condo. Maybe practice the keyboard.
Dawg walking, golf ball hitting & football watching.
Cleaned out a closet and pulled down shelves, prior to painting and re-organizng it this week.
A belated welcome to Fluther! 4PM here in the central time zone. It’s a frantic day of preparing for an 11-hour car journey tomorrow. The trip is for an indefinite period of time, so it’s a matter of not only packing but thinking through what needs to be packed and addressed at home before leaving.
It’s 5:14pm here and I’m baking some treats for my dear friends. Can’t wait to see their faces! :)
@say_what Welcome to Fluther! I went to pick out my Halloween pumpkin today at my local nursery. The people are so nice there! I cooked chicken wings teriyaki and apple glazed roasted carrots whilst watching Globe Trekker in Bangladesh. Lunch was very late. I need to sketch some new designs for work and color them in in. I could be lazy and self indulgent or ambitious…...it’s a tough call.
Well….3:51 p.m. now on the west coast and since I have been abandoned by my gardener I just HAD to pull a happy brownie out the brownie garden in the freezer. lol
It has immensely helped my aching thumbs from all the acorn raking, and other micro-farmy chores. I am now excusing myself from any more work and am going to be staring into the trees for awhile. lol
Thanks all for the answers and the welcome! I had to step out for a bit and ruined my do nothing day with doing something! :)
I waited tables like every Saturday afternoon. It was slow for being a Saturday. There was a really great sunset though and the moon was out early, and really really beautiful.
I cleaned up the place, and took down the air conditioner. Fought some dragon, too.
I slept all-damn-day. 15 hours! Welcome to Fluther, @say_what!
Yesterday (Saturday) my boyfriend and I were chilling out which was nice as I haven’t had any downtime for over a week but then I got a call from my sister to tell me her waters had broke. Bye bye downtime, hello new baby nephew :)
Thanks @augustlan for the welcome!
Thanks to everyone for the awesome answers, and congrats on the new nephew @Leanne1986 :)
@Symbeline She is! I know for a fact she flies around and hunts mice at night.
Sunday almost noon now. Just outta the shower and going to town to stock up on some storm food and then, back to wash the goose barn shutters and close ‘em up for tonights big storm.
Then…netflix movies, chili for dinner and my cozy little fireplace scene.
Oh….I have to call after 5 on a jury duty notice…I hope it’s a cancel, I do NOT want to go out in the storm tomorrow morning. Bah humbug!
@Coloma I don’t blame you! Be safe in the storm!
@Symbeline I’m definitely a nocturnal creature, and fibro kicks my ass sometimes. HOOT.
@augustlan I used to be an owl too, until I got a day job…I might lose it soon though, so nighttime for me again haha. :D
I did the day job thing for years, and may have to again soon. Sucks, doesn’t it? That said, I hope you don’t lose your job. Fingers crossed for ya’!
Hey hey HEEY it’s too early, what are you doing, go to bed! XD
I’ll never get used to waking up in the mornings. NEVER! It sucks all the asses that exist to suck. But thanks. :) If I do lose it though, I’m looking for an evening job.
