Any suggestions for a solution to a new problem on Flickr? How can I delete a photo?
I have been using the app for several years and have never had a problem until how. When I write to the Help people, I get incomprehensible gibberish from Yahoo!. The forums are equally exoteric and user-unfriendly. As a much smaller concern, I can no longer add tags either. It used to be straightforward. Mac OS 10.8.2, Safari and Firefox.

Click on the photo. There is an “Actions” dropdown. The last option is “Delete this photo”.
Adding tags can be done by selecting the second-to-last option (“Edit title, tags, and dates”).
PS. “Actions” dropdown lists only these choices.
View all sizes
View slideshow
View Exit info.
@tom-g; Any other thoughts?
This is probably a silly question, but are you logged in? I have 2 choices if I am not logged in (view all sizes, view slideshow).
Also, could you have shared this photo from another account you have, so you have access to view, but not to edit?
@tom_g:
I have never had to log in before. It’s worth a try. Trying to please Yahoo! with both my username and password is a herculean effort.
The photos were uploaded only from iPhoto.
You have to be log in. If you didn’t have to login, and were able to delete or edit other people’s photos, flickr wouldn’t work. It is likely that you had just been logged in for so long that you forgot.
Once you login to the same flickr account that is linked to iPhoto, you should be ok.
^^Do you make house calls? I’ll fiddle with this when the winds and rain stop.
Yahoo and I finally solved this problem. Apparently, I do have to log in to the Flickr account, but I had two Yahoo accounts, and the left hand didn’t seem to what the right hand was doing.
Both Yahoo and Flickr have improved their on-line support info., so problem has been resolved.
Thanks for your help as well.
