Help, what happened to my Notes files?
I’ve been using this app called Notes in my iPad for almost three years now. Zero hitches. Until yesterday when I had my finger on the left side, atop one of the file names. Nothing unusual in that but then, all of a sudden, about 12 of my 18 files just disappeared!
What just happened there? Hope there’s a jelly out there who is a Notes user. Thanks…

It’s probably just a bug. Are they still missing?
Yes. Kinda hoping I just accidentally put them in hiding and not deleted. And that I could get them back. Thanks…
Haha, my answer wasn’t helpful at all then…
How about you try connecting your iPad to iTunes on any device and search for the files there, you might find them if they’re simply hidden. Or you can search for the file names on the iPad.
Maybe if you have iCloud or any other similar software the files have been synced there and stored online?
In the future always back up any important file just in case. That’s why I find iPad unhelpful when it comes to storing important files…
PS: Maybe you had another finger on another part of the screen so the multi-touch option decided to act and move your files to a different folder?
And this is me hoping that you’ve previously synced your iPad with iTunes…
What I usually do is just email the file right away to myself. It’s pretty nifty doing that in Notes. Just push the mail icon, pick an address and send. Just didn’t do it in these files. Grrr. Will check out your other suggestions, thanks.
