If I liked Brink, what other games would I like?

Alright I revisited the game brink, and I still love it. I noticed that I seem to be doing better than a lot of the other people that are playing it, and this game supports communication with text chat or voice but noone uses it or even replies for some reason. I was wondering, how are games like call of duty (only one I can think of). I like the multiple step advances in each level that brink has, and I think planning out with a team would be neat too. I don’t want a game where you can specifically buy advantages or better things though, I’d like it to be totally free of that sort of thing.
