Stranded at my partner's without wheels; what are your thoughts on Jimmy John's sandwiches?

Asked by Mama_Cakes (11173points) November 30th, 2012

I’m famished, without a car and I’m wanting to eat healthy. We don’t have Jimmy John’s in Canada, so I have no idea what’s good there.

Suggestions for a healthy sandwich?

Never heard of Jimmy Johns, but surely you can customize a sandwich to your liking.
I often ask for customized items in restaurants and have never been turned down. Just decide what you want and ask for them to customize your sandwich.

The selection looks pretty good. Just go with a hearty bread and whatever you like with it.

FREAKY FAST!!! I love Jimmy Johns here in Missouri. It’s only cold sandwiches and a little higher than Subway or Quizno’s, but they have bean sprouts for the sandwiches, it’s soooo good, and I believe they use real mayonnaise. Yeah, really popular here!

*The veggies are awesome!

They are fast! I like Jimmy Johns.

I’m pretty sure all their sandwiches are on a classic white roll or whatever which is really unappealing to me. I went there once, it was very average. I know that college kids love it around here.

I was always happy with Jimmy John’s. We used to get them delivered at work frequently. They were fast enough that I started to wonder if they parked in the lot, got the call, made the sandwiches and then brought them up.

Yes, their selling point definitely is the speed of their delivery. I agree with @deni on average, and if I want a fast sandwich I prefer subway or quizno’s. They are not the first thing to mind when I think of “healthful food”, but if you are hungry and grounded I’m sure they’ll be a decent option. Pretty sure they have no options for vegetarians other than the dreaded “cheese sandwich.”

The last time I ordered from them the bread choices were a French roll or whole wheat. And, yes, the only vegetarian sandwich has cheese.

Jimmy Johns Rules! We have one right around the corner and I go there often when I don’t know what I want to make for lunch or dinner. AND they deliver!

Jimmy John’s will wrap any of their sandwiches in a lettuce wrap instead of bread, which is a nice option. Everything is very fresh, too.

Occasionally they come around to my office and offer me a free sample. Once I went there. But I’m not impressed. They are good every once in a while, but I’d never go out of my way to find one.
