What is a good unlimited secure international calling plan?

I’m looking for a calling program that will let me keep in touch with a friend of mine when he goes overseas. Any ideas? I threw it in social to encourage any jokes or humor. Go wild.

I’ve talked for about three hours on Google Voice (although it was a local call). The call quality was good, though. It’s not unlimited, but it’s supposed to be cheap for int’l.
