What do you do on Sunday evenings?

My kids and i have dinner together, usually something nice, and then we watch TV together to get calmed down for the week ahead. (Halfway through Amazing Race final episode right now!)

Watch TV, iron shirts for the week. Real exciting stuff.

Family television night is Sunday. The majority of our favorite shows are on this night. Dexter, The Walking Dead, Revenge, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Iron Chef and the occasional Sunday Night Football game. We don’t watch all of these Sunday evening, but our dvr gets a workout. We watch a few and save the others for weeknights. During the summer we usually spend time outdoors on a Sunday evening.

I miss The Amazing Race. As you can see, our dvr is quite busy and I had to give up on the show.

At some point, I realize I’m not going to get any more work done, and that I haven’t seen anyone all weekend. And then I go out and drink. :-/

Finish laundry, get lunch ready, make sure all household chores are taken care of.
After that I usually plan on going to bed early but end up hitting a coffee shop or barnes and noble or stopping by a friends house, or read, write knit and the next thing I know I only have 5 hours to sleep.

Pretty much the same thing I do every night, except I watch Walking Dead when it’s on. So, I basically just do…this. Sit on the computer and smoke. ;)

Snuggle up on the sofa with my husband and watch TV.

It differs, my life ain’t no timetable, that would be so tedious to me.

Lately, it’s either been what I call “Pet maintenance day” where I groom all of my animals, clean their tanks and what not, or I listen to Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” and bake cookies.

All I know is it usually ends up with me watching television and shoving my face full of something.

Every Sunday for the past six months I have worked! Somehow!!!!!!!!!!, I got off this one. I lazed around with my man the entire day doing nothing, and in the evening we played scrabble, ate chinese food, watched the Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach and HARDCORE CUDDLED.

I tend to try and keep Sunday evenings free so that I can relax before starting work again on Monday. Sunday’s are usually my only days off and so I do my best to make the most of it. Every so often I will go to my dad’s for tea but usually I stay in and watch any TV I have missed during the week, something that doesn’t take much brain or physically energy.
