Does any Apple developer make a simple monitor mirroring app for iPhone?

I’d like the ability for the image showing on my iPhone 4’s integrated screen to show on my digital TV.

This is simple enough with my MacBook via HDMI adapter.

Why can’t I enjoy this functionality with my iPhone and composite AV cable considering that my TV has composite video inputs as well?

Every solution I’ve seen uses Airplay or involves jailbreaking. Just to double-check, it’s a 4 and not a 4S, correct?

Apple tv will mirror what is on your iOS device to the TV. It is relatively cheap and does a ton of other stuff.
