I always loved that spot on the left of his head which denotes glowing/light reflection. I denno why but that’s the cutest thing ever.
Seeing that, it’s weird that the left side of the hat’s border is darker.

Not criticizing lol. I love the Xmas Dr. J.

He’s looking a little green around the gills. I do like his hat and cane.

After several days of the site being down/up/down – it’s a very welcome reminder that someone is still active behind the scenes and cares enough to make the subtle changes and touches. I like it.

Yes, maybe the site was down as he was stuck in the cyber tubes. But I am glad he is here. I am wondering if he got my letter. It was quite lengthy and detailed. I bet he asks great questions and has great answers. Phew! Am I glad.

@Symbeline @rooeytoo I think the slightly darker shade in his hat rim as well as the clear line on his face is to give depth and dimension to the drawing. Like a 3D effect so it doesn’t look like a solid flat mass.
He looks really cute and festive. @PhiNotPi I like Jelly Claus too.

@Yeahright he must be in an omnidirectional light source. But that makes sense, the light is probably refracted differently under water.

@Symbeline I was just trying to find an explanation for the darker shade. I wouldn’t know the technicalities or specifics about it. I couldn’t draw a happy face to save my life.

@Yeahright – of course, I always think of the Caribbean as a string of islands! Australia is an amazing place, one huge island surrounded by one beautiful beach after another!
