What's your holiday gift to the collective?
Here’s a Spanish flashmob playing Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” in a way that will fill you, I hope, with optimism. Schiller wrote, “Alle Menschen werden Brüder.” All men will be brothers. What a good goal.

No, but seriously. This video of a cat gurgling when it’s petted is pretty fantastic.
Peace to your heart. Peace on earth may not be possible right now, but it begins with each of us, so I wish it for every one of us individually.
I am tearfully smiling @gailcalled. Thank you.
My gift for my fellow Flutherers is to wish you all peaceful and warm holidays.
@glacial I feel dumb, but I didn’t get it.
I’m already overflowing with optimism ta very much.
My gift comes in the form of interpretive dance…shame none of you can see it though, or is it?
Take it or leave it, these kids brought a smile to my face……
MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL
In light of these past few weeks’ tragedies, I give you This
Make sure you have a hanky on hand, though.
@gailcalled Thank you for that video. It brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face.
The gift of sunshine and hope.
93 Millions Miles by Jason Mraz… everyday is a beautiful new day.
Happy Holidays!
I bring death, famine and pestilence!
No really I got nothing, but I do have this Calvin and Hobbes strip. :)
Here’s a photo I took of an interesting poinsettia.
Happy Holidays fellow Jellies!
@bob_ That rocks. ’‘puts arms in the air and goes :D ’’
@harple: Is that really you? You look exactly like I had not imagined. And are you playing on a cardboard harp? Cool
Here is my gift – a meditation on the Christmas carol. The story behind Do You Hear What I Hear? (told here by the writers’ daughter) made me weep. The whole thing is an hour long, but great stuff.
@gailcalled yes, I’ve been brave and that is really me! (I look better without the santa hat.) It is indeed a cardboard harp – I have a set of 10 which I use for workshops and beginner group lessons, so it’s nice at Christmas to show that it can be used for more than Twinkle Twinkle.
@harple That was wonderful! Now I’m smiling ear to ear : )
@harple So fun! Thanks for sharing it with us.
@glacial Yours sounds very interesting, but I can’t get it to play. :(
@augustlan Hmm! I wonder if it is a regional issue.
Here is a link to podcasts from the show; you should be able to download it as an mp3 file. This week’s episode was called (unsurprisingly) “Do You Hear What We Hear?”
