Grey cashmere sweater…two big (quarter-sized) chocolate stains. Just got the chocolate on the sweater – what is the best way to get it out?

I’d recommend this! Just spray it on and hand wash it in the bathroom sink if you’re into watching it totally disappear otherwise load it in the washer, it’ll come off for sure.
You might want to try some ice and freeze it until it is brittle and then try to crumble it off.

Crumbling off the worst of it is good, but you’ll still probably have to wash it. Be sure to use cool water (no warmer than your own body temperature). Use mild detergent directly on the stain first, and rub in well. I am sure a dry cleaner could help you if a stain persists, but I don’t blame you for wanting to take care of it yourself.
By the way, there are “green” dry cleaners (that use non-toxic cleaning methods). One might be in your area. Here’s a link. http://www.greenamerica.org/livinggreen/drycleaning.cfm
Depending who is wearing the sweater, I’d volunteer to lick it off, and I’d stay as long as it takes. (And I would bring more chocolate, too.)
Something about this question made me flash on the epitaph I want on a memorial:
He died at 69…
…at the age of 95.
Suck it off! But brush your teeth afterwards.
(Prepare to be deleted comment! But first I just want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE MODS! I LOVE YOU ALL! nice set up for a guilt trip, hey!)
