My first one was Portrait of an American Family by Marilyn Manson. The cover was great and I appreciate to buy album of loved artists.
Beastie Boys License to Ill (had owned it on cassete previous to its CD release).

My father bought me The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, because that was the first record he ever owned. I plan to buy it for my children as their first album, in whatever form music comes in then.
i think the first serious CD i bought was Rage Against The Machine, by….exactly, i think that was the first real one

First proper CD I guess would be…I don’t know. I know the first of my current collection is probably a Baords of Canada one (Campfire Headphase) or a YFriday one (Rainmaker)
Counting Crows: August and Everything After as well. I owned many cds prior to this, but this was the first one i went out and bought on my own. I lurve counting crows.

Those were the days…replacing all my albums with tiny bits of plastic. I wish I kept the vinyl, but I was too young to know better.

The first CD I ever owned was the Led Zeppelin 4-disc box set. The first album I ever owned was Fly Like An Eagle which I bought in 1977.
