Are these shoes good for surfing?

I never knew of people wearing shoes on their boards. We always were barefoot. Is this a new thing? How do you grip the board with your toes if you have shoes on?

Are you wondering if a surfer girl would wear these during her everyday, or if these would be good for surfing?
If it is for the everyday, then yes, they are nice, but if you are asking if they are good to surf with, then no. You would need to give her some booties:
