I would have to risk too much to persue some of my dreams. So I guess my answer would be responsibilites to my family.
Also, lack of ambition.
I sleep too much and am too self-absorbed.
at the moment, probably this question….
but im not interested in achieving everything, because then there would be nothing left for me to do but die.
My weight and too many responsibilities that no one will share with me.
Time. Space. The laws of physics in general.
Life itself. As John Lennon said, “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.”
Rules.
Both kind – laws in general and what is considered to be socially acceptable. Example of the first, I want to drink, but I’m not 21 (but I do anyways..) Example of the second, it’s wrong to be with a guy who has a girlfriend.
Fear of failure, fear of change.
I wanted to share this with you. It truly does express our fear of success.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson, “A Return to Love”
I think the only thing holding me back is my own laziness and lack of enthusiasm.
