Do you believe people are basically lazy or hardworking and why?

I think it’s in our human nature to be lazy—however, this isn’t the kind of laziness that most people believe that it is. Before humans evolved as an intelligent species, many animals—including homo sapiens—made their living by simply being alive. Picking food from nature to eat for survival. Finding a fresh water stream for hydration. Building shelter to protect ourselves from the natural elements. Simple, mindless tasks that are elementary in nature, because it was all we needed to do to survive, and that was all that used to matter. To us modern day societal folk, we see that as laziness, because we have twisted our own nature around us and made establishments, governments, rules and laws, and further complicated our own lives. This has made life harder for us, and therefore, we have to work harder just to stay alive.
So in nature, humans are essentially “lazy” creatures because we have simply evolved from an era where we did not need much work in order to stay alive. We have just created the chaos for ourselves.
