Keep in mind, practically every Hollywood movie that says “based on a true story” or “actual event” should in fact say “very, very, very loosely based on…”

And I was kidding bout the whole best movie ever thing. It got voted the worst movie of all time. I thoroughly agree, seeing as how I own it and have never finished it.

Goodfellas was one of the best “based on a true story” movies I’ve ever seen.
Alpha Dog was also based on a true story, as was Into the Wild
