Is this (details inside) something I need to worry about?

Asked by rojo (24179points) January 8th, 2013

When I first met my wife, she used to read Romance novels.
After we married she was partial to Fantasy/SciFi.
We had kids; she started reading Short Stories.
As they got older she read Suspense books.
Then came graduations/marriages/menopause/etc and her book of choice was Historical Fiction.
Lately she has swiched to the Murder/Mystery genre.

Is this something I need to be concerned about?

I don’t know but you made me laugh.

I don’t see why. As long as you know what genre she is currently enjoying so you can buy her books.

Maybe you should read some of those romance novels.

Perhaps she thinks you are planning to off her?

You need to start reading vacation novels.

If she starts to read a book on storing large animals, and tips on freezing and cooking, then get worried.

Maybe you should print off a copy of this question and leave it in the If Anything Happens To Me envelope in your desk at work.

Hmmm….well menopause and murder could be linked, methinks. ;-)
Have you taken a peek at the M.O.of her latest story?
The best murder mystery I ever read was a woman who clubbed her husband to death with a frozen leg of lamb and then served it to the detectives under the guise of not letting such a wonderful meal go to waste.
If I was to ever murder my lover I’d go this route. Cook and eat the murder weapon.

Viola…no evidence of the blunt force trauma weapon.
Another great plot was knitting a sweater full of dog hair to cause an allergic death by asthma attack to a wealthy and obnoxious uncle. lol

Be sure to eliminate all icicles hanging from your eaves.

She could give up reading all together and it should not matter.

However, Coloring Books are next in this progression.

I recommend that you watch the film Suspicion.

Also, be sure that she never reads Strong Poison.

Perhaps it’s time for you to open up Fifty Shades of Grey and brush up on your arm strength.

I’m not really sure if you need to worry about it, but it definitely got a good laugh out of me!!

If you wake up at night with a pillow firmly pressed over your face, don’t panic, take shallow breaths, and relax as the light dims.
