Can you say despicable me?
Just for fun, what are some of things that you do that can be labeled as despicable-? I mean that more along the line of Gru’s character in the movie Despicable Me. He does despicable things but they’re often funny and in the end his big heart shows.
So how are you despicable, yet maybe funny and even misunderstood?

Gru? Do you mean that dumbass samurai from those comic books? I’m confused.
Well, my son thinks it’s pretty despicable that I set limits on his video game time.
“Mama, you are not making me happy right now.”
“Well, that’s ok, son. It’s not my job to make you happy, it’s my job to make you an intelligent, well developed person. Now go brush your teeth.”
Well, I’ve never stolen the moon or the Eiffel Tower, and I don’t know that I’ve ever done anything truly despicable, but I know that I have the capacity to do despicable things, should I be pushed too far.
@Seek_Kolinahr: Those are almost the exact words I used to use with my son: “Mommy is not my name, it’s my job title; and my job is to teach you to be a self-sufficient adult.” When he’d tell me he hated me (that comes in the teens), I’d say, “That’s OK, I can live with that. But I love you, and I am responsible for you; and this is what I feel is best.”

Gosh yes, that. Way too much time on the internet. Fluther, Reddit, Facebook, Imgur…
And getting into long internet arguments with people.
All the while procrastinating from doing useful things.
