There are so many movies that just used a song so perfectly in that movie that from that point onward you can’t help but just think of that movie whenever you hear the song.
I want to use this as a theme for one of my upcoming radio shows. Here’s what I got so far.

“Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head”
Colonel Bogey March (“Bridge on the River Kwai”), Best That You Can Do (“Arthur,” the original) are two that come to mind immediately.
Theme from Jaws.
Theme from the Pink Panther series.
Footloose and Flashdance.
This Will Be An Everlasting Love ~ Natalie Cole, from the opening of While You Were Sleeping!
Werewolves of London
Warren Zevon
- from “The Color of Money”
His hair was perfect
Blue Danube Waltz – 2001: A Space Odyssey
I Heard It Through the Grapevine – The Big Chill
I Put a Spell on You by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins in the movie Stranger Than Paradise by Jim Jarmusch. Do you know he tracked down Screamin’ Jay to be in his movie Mystery Train? Gotta love that guy. But anyways, this is a great scene. I love it. I also love the opening credits where Eva is walking down the street with a boombox playing the same song. She’s about 13 years old but she thinks she’s so damn cool.
Eye of the Tiger – Rocky III
@uberbatman Your list made me laugh a few times. Some good memories there. David Bowie’s “Changes” always makes me think of The Breakfast Club as well because of the opening credits.
I came to post Moon River, but @blueiiznh beat me to it. So I’ll leave “Isn’t it Romantic?”. No video, sadly, but luckily Sabrina also features La Vie en Rose and the classic Yes we Have No Bananas! Does anyone remember the perfectly awful remake with Harrison Ford? They replaced the references to “Isn’t it Romantic?” with some new contemporary song which I think was written for the soundtrack. It was perfectly ridiculous.
Same as @KNOWITALL and also Grease.
The theme from Friends by Elton John. Every time I hear that song it makes me want to cry and be twelve all over again!
Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” will always and forever remind me of The Hangover, despite the fact that I knew the song long before the movie came out.
@jordym84 OOHHH GOOD ONE! I always think of that scene whenever I hear the song as well now.
All I Need by Country Joe and the Fish, from Zachariah.
Let The River Run – Working Girl
Bolero – 10
Eye of the tiger will always make me think of any Rocky movie.
@uberbatman haha yes!! That scene always comes to mind when I hear the song.
As Time Goes By – Casablanca
Beethoven’s Ode To Joy – Die Hard
Oh man, Riders on the Storm- The Basketball Diaries!
Oh yeah! one of my favorites that I forgot is Secret Garden from Jerry Maguire
“I Got You Babe” (Sonny & Cher) – Groundhog Day
