How do I upload a reluctant app on my iPhone?

This may be a foolish question but is it possible that the apps are only being updated in iPhone5 versions. Another thought, are you on iOS5 or 6?

Don’t do it on the phone, do it in iTunes on the computer or Mac you use to synch your phone. iTunes will make sure your software and the app are coordinated. Once iTunes has the update, re-synch your phone, et voila!

Problem solved, thanks to Poke! Updated the apps on iTunes, then did a re-sync. Thanks, Poke.
