[Possibly NSFW] What are you doing for the Super Bowl?

Planning a big Super Bowl party, something informal with friends, just family, watching all by your lonesome, or couldn’t care less? If you hate football, it’s a great time to go shopping and avoid the usual crowds.
Which team do you want to win, or are you completely nonpartisan, just looking to watch a well-fought football game? Any favorite players you’ll be watching? What about the ads, the halftime extravaganza, Beyoncé‘s hair?
For those who have a Super Bowl routine, what is it? Any special foods, beverages or condiments that always have to be a part of the party? Any Super Bowl rituals you can share—even if they are NSFW?
Between the cheerleaders, the sex used by ad agencies to sell everything form cars to laundry detergents, and all those hunky guys with the ultra-tight pants, the spectacle might fire up ones urges. Confess. Where will 6:30 PM Eastern (GMT -5) on Feb. 3, 2013 find you, and what will you be doing?

Polish my balls. Oh wait, that’s cricket. I give credit to @rooeytoo for putting that in my head.
You know, the usual. Trying to read too many books. Drinking at home because there will be football going on at my favorite watering hole.
Probably next to nothing as I might be too lazy to watch the game.
I hope to be on a mountain with my trusty pup. I hope for clear trails because of the game. Not sure if granola eaters care much about football though.
Nothing as I am not American and don’t really care about the Superbowl.
At home, watching the 49ers win, with me and the kids parked in front of the TV!
I’ll probably flick on it for brief periods, we’re talking seconds here & only then to giggle at the big dopey buggers running around in crash hats…man up ya bunch of wimps!
Watching “Downton Abbey.”
Maggie Smith is a legend…needs to be said.
@mazingerz88 If we ever start our own cricketer ball polishing club, let’s be called ’‘The Top Hat Zombies’’.
And what the hell, Beyoncé is still active? Every time I see a video of her dancing, it reminds me of video sightings of things like the Sasquatch or roaming mummies.
And I’m not doing anything special. Don’t care for football, and I hate watching cable TV anyways.
Working on a chapter of a non-fiction book I am writing. Although it may be hard to concentrate on writing if the game is any good.
Grading essays while watching the Puppy Bowl with my significant other and a friend of ours.
Small family party, pretty typical, with pizza and hot wings.
We’ll be celebrating it with our annual Soup Bowl tradition- burglarizing the homes of the players from the city closest to us. ;-)
Tonight we’ll be driving up to ‘frisco with a “borrowed” truck and some crow bars. ;-D
It’s my understanding that the Noll clan will be doing the same thing in Baltimore. ;-)
@ucme Maggie Smith vs Betty White as quarterbacks. Who will win?
Maggie would kick Betty’s arse, although I fear Betty would trip over her saggy tits when wide open in left field…i’d pay good money to see that, I truly would.
I’ll be watching the game and rooting for the 49ers. In the afternoon I’m going to check out the Puppy Bowl on the Animal Planet channel. The ads for it looked cute if you like puppies and kittens.
We’re staying in. I dislike dealing with distracted idiots behind the wheel on regular days, so I make a point of staying home on days when those idiots are likely to be drinking as well as their usual distracted selves.
I’ve got clam dip and onion dip already made in the fridge and I’ll make fresh guac tomorrow. We got some wings from our local poultry farm and will make a garlic buffalo sauce for them. We got half a pig (butchered and packaged) from another local farm, and my fiancé has plans for the short ribs.
I want the Ravens to win (I have historically been a Philadelphia Eagles fan, but have always admitted that the tight uniform pants are my main reason for watching). Baltimore is close, Flacco is from New Jersey, and I like purple. I went to a Ravens game at least ten years ago when they were hosting the Steelers (my bf at the time had family in Baltimore). It would be nice for Ray Lewis to get a ring… he deserves it.
@hearkat
I also like the color of the Raven’s uniforms.
If the Ravens win tomorrow, it will Ray’s second ring.
@Brian1946 – I hesitated before I wrote that, because I thought he might have already gotten one. Thanks for the correction. He still deserves second one.
A friend who lives about an hour away is coming over to watch with my boyfriend and housemates. I have some chili simmering right now and have all the goodies to throw together some spinach artichoke dip in the morning. And lots of beer.
I have never watched the Superbowl before. I understand there’s a California team playing, so I am geographically obligated to root for them.
My son’s dropping in and we’ll feast on the great American tradition for the Super Bowl, sashimi nigiri. Salmon, talipia, surf clams and, as a special treat for the Super Bowl, some yellow tail—a rare treat. Then the popcorn comes out.
I’ll be recovering from my daughter’s sleepover. The girls leave at 10am and I don’t plan on leaving the couch for most of the day. I’ll be watching the game with my hubby and daughter, rooting for the 49ers. (I’m not a big fan of the Ravens. They beat my team, the Broncos.)
@jonsblond They knocked the Pats out of the playoffs in the AFC Championship game to. Bad Ravens!
Super Bowl aka super bowl of food @ETpro-? If I knew your address I’d barge in and grab all your food before before you could even take a piece. Lol.
@mazingerz88 No need to steal. Just bring your own contribution and drop in for the party.
I’m watching the game instead of going to ‘frisco.
Ravens 28, 9ers 6. The game is stalled because of a 50% power outage at the dome: worst Supper Bowl ever? ;-p
This sure ain’t no X,
XIII,
XXXII,
XXXIV,
or XLII.
…worst Supper Bowl ever? ;-p
Nope: Ravens 31, 9ers 29.
It’s a good game. The 9ers remind me of the Broncos. They are playing a completely different game the second half. I hope they can finish it.
“Downton Abbey,” OTOH, was splendid. Bates has triumphed: O“Brien is more devious than usual; and Lady Violet had some particularly acidic remarks.
